# Governance

All official project votes take place off-chain on the external Snapshot platform.

To ensure you don’t miss any important events, the interface includes two key features: an information banner and a permanent link in the page footer.

Community members will receive notifications in Discord when new votes are opened.

Voting power is proportional to the underlying mzUSD value of a user's holdings, including unstaked mzUSD and all tranche positions.

{% hint style="info" %}
Governance votes determine key protocol parameters, including which strategies and assets are whitelisted for capital deployment.
{% endhint %}
